The Market Reform Programme consists of a number
of projects sponsored by MRG designed at increasing
efficiency in placing business; in processing
claims ; and in settling accounts. MRG provides
the overall governance. The delivery of each of
the projects is devolved to teams led by individuals
from a number of areas:
-
from MRO – who led the contract certainty
work and are the guardians of the placing document
standard - the Market Reform Contract;
-
from Lloyd’s – who are leading on
the Electronic Claims Files, the use of the
Accounting and Settlement repository, the production
of electronic policy documentation and co-leading
the work to reduce the volume of legacy policies
where evidence of cover has not been issued;
-
from the associations – LMA are leading
the work on electronic placing; LMBC are leading
the work to increase the use of delinking; IUA
are co-leading the work to reduce the volume
of legacy policies where evidence of cover has
not been issued; and
-
from the firms themselves – Willis are
leading on the endorsement project and Guy Carpenter
are picking up the baton on defining ACORD technical
and financial account messages.
