An Introduction to Modernisation

The London market modernisation programme has been in place since 1999.  Over this period we have seen an increasing number of achievments delivered.  These include:

  • the succesful adoption of contract certainty across the market;
  • the adoption of the standard slip;
  • the delivery of the Insurers' Market Repository;
  • the adoption of the Electronic Claims File;
  • the removal of paper from the Accounitng and Settlement process;
  • the adoption of electronic policies;
  • the introduction of electronic support for placing and endorsements.
